Architecture Centre Network
 http://www.architecturecentre.net/

The Architecture Centre Network is the "national development and advocacy organisation for 22 independent architecture centres in the UK", working together "to promote engagement with architecture and the built environment." This well-organised and visually appealing site includes links to all the UK architecture centres, together with up-to-date news and events details. Elsewhere, a resources section provides a good range of file downloads and related links, while the 'Debate and Innovate' area seeks to bring "a fresh angle on big issues for the built environment sector, with a chance to think differently about the future and comment on the present." Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 26 Nov 2010].

International City Planners Network (ICPN)
 http://www.city-planners-network.org/

Founded in 2004, the goal of the International City Planners Network (ICPN) is to "help practicing planners develop and implement creative solutions to real-world planning problems by facilitating contacts with planners throughout the world". However, the Network welcomes all types of planners and people interested in planning, including urban designers, architects, landscape architects, social service planners, open space planners, economic development planners, environmental planners, infrastructure and transportation planners. From its home page onwards, the Network's sense of friendliness successfully pervades its website, with the display of a random member's photograph on the front page adding a personal touch. Once inside, visitors can use the 'Find a Planner' function, view a series of sections designed to help travelling planners learn more about specific featured cities (currently Paris, San Francsico, Vienna and Zurich) or browse a list of upcoming conferences. The home page also includes an excellent list of links to planning-related organisations and journals. [GAS, 8 Jul 2006].

Wonderland
 http://www.wonderland.cx/

Based in Vienna, Wonderland badges itself as a "platform for European architecture", and a "network for young Europe-oriented architecture practices aiming [for] experience, information and knowledge exchange." According to the site, "Wonderland continuously initiates collaboration projects with international teams to foster inter-European exchange, organises Project Spaces, Blind Dates and symposia, conducts research on current challenges and approaches in the field of architecture as well as urban planning, and shares results with members and the public by means of exhibitions and publications." Neatly designed and very easy to get around, the site includes details on all these projects as well as information about the Wonderland magazine - "a publication about the architectural profession - focusing on 'how' and not 'what'" - and the latest press releases and reports. Thirteen countries are currently represented in the network, but Wonderland is promising to "expand our network and strengthen our presence in Europe." In a nice touch, each page displays the name, photo and country of one of Wonderland's member architecture teams - helping to give a sense of how Wonderland is, indeed, bringing creative people together. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 5 Jul 2011].
