NCRISP - New Construction Research & Innovation Strategy Panel

Superseding the former CRISP (the site provides a full explanation of these changes), nCRISP supports the work of the Construction Industry Strategic Forum "by both responding, and contributing, to its deliberations". It also provides a think tank function, as envisaged by Sir John Fairclough in his recent review of Government R&D Policies and Practices, and continues to fulfil its traditional role of advising Government and other funders on research needs and priorities. Against this backdrop, the mission of nCRISP is to "prioritise and promote research and innovation that will sustain a first class construction industry and enhance the value of its contribution to the quality of the built environment and the wealth and well being of society". The nCRISP site is attractively designed, with sections covering its priorities, publications (including many downloadable reports), events, and brief information about its major projects relating to different industry sectors (general building, housing, infrastructure, heritage, and repair and maintenance).
