Construction Education
 http://www.constructioneducation.com/

Constructioneducation.com features a wealth of information for the construction contractor or those seeking a pre-screened contractor. It's also a good resource for seeking work within the building industry. The site includes details and information about Construction Associations Worldwide, Construction Directories and Portals and Construction Codes, Regulations and Laws and more. Unfortunately, the site's banner ads and other graphics, together with a rather muddled system of navigation, give it an unprofessional appearance that detracts from its useful content. Edifier
 http://www.edifier.com.mx/

Edifier describes itself as "a new construction and architecture related information site, constantly renewed with the colaboration of its users." The site is based in Mexico, and written in Spanish throughout. The home page features some good illustrated articles and book information, while the 'Dycusa' and 'Escala' sections provide an introduction to the companies of that name, Escala specialising in project management and Dycusa in construction. This makes Edifier feel more like a commercial site than the 'information site' it claims to be. Still, it is early days, and over time the site will no doubt grow as a resource. Home-worx.com
 http://www.home-worx.com/

Home-worx.com is a US-based blog that is "all about the home... we research home improvement projects and products for the home and bring all the information together in one place." For the moment, however, all the content relates to UPVC windows, covering a range of topics from from selecting quality windows to installing them yourself. The site's spelling and grammar could use some work, and the articles themselves would benefit from some more images to break up the big blocks of text. However, the content is useful, and comes across as quite well informed. [GAS, 11 Jan 2011].
