A real ale festival for all the family. 15 beers, ciders & lagers, wines & soft drinks in a marquee. Food will be available all day. Live music, children's activities to keep them occupied, so no excuses parents! Ticket price includes a commemorative pint glass. Tickets in advance £4.50 from Ray Park butcher's in Cholsey; £5 on the gate. Funds being raised for disadvantaged communities in Kodumela, South Africa. Parking available, or train to Cholsey on Great Western line.

STREMAH 2009 is the 11th International Conference on Studies, Repairs and Maintenance of Heritage Architecture. The meeting, which has taken place on a regular basis over more than 20 years, has become an event attracting specialists from all over the world. It offers a channel for state-of-the-art technology and the most up-to-date scientific discoveries to be applied to the conservation of our architectural heritage. STREMAH 2009 brings together scientists, architects, curators, engineers, art historians, surveyors, archaeologists and building specialists to exchange opinions and experiences, present the most recent scientific and practical findings, and discuss problems and solutions in relation to studies, repairs and maintenance of heritage buildings. |

The Linux Society and the Hannah Maclure Exhibition, Cinema, and Performance Centre will be celebrating the global Software Freedom Day event, shared around the world this 2oth September.
Everyone is welcome and please feel free to share this invitation around with all your friends and colleagues.
Software freedom day is an event that is held globally to support and celebrate Free and Open Source software. The Abertay Linux Society and the Hannah Maclure Centre are proud to announce a day full of talks designed to highlight the empowerment, liberty, innovation, ideas and community spirit that free software can offer people. In addition, at this year's Software Freedom Day we will also be screening "The Elephants Dream" and "Big Buck Bunny", two pioneering films developed and made using Free and Open Source software and released free online for everyone in the spirit of that freedom.
With topics such as Free Software and it's community, Windows and Free Software, Virtualisation technologies & Servers using Free Software, Open Source Communications and how communities can benefit. Free and Open Source Gaming, Open Source Security and it's community, there will be something to interest all, whether you are a developer , a user, confused or just plain interested. There will also be demonstrations of some of the practical applications of free and open source software on display during the event.
There will be a light yet free lunch served before the screening of the films, the event is free for everyone and open between 10am and 4pm on Saturday the 20th September. Feel free to attend the whole or event or just drop in, we will be glad to see you participate in this global event celebrating and promoting Software Freedom and it's many uses in benefiting everyone.
