Taigh Chearsabhagh
 http://www.taigh-chearsabhagh.org/

This award-winning arts centre and museum is run by artists and residents of North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. Supported by the Scottish Arts Council, the centre is a focus for life in North Uist, welcoming visitors "to experience the arts, culture and heritage of the islands in a friendly and stimulating environment", and playing an important role in Scottish historical conservation with its artefacts and oral recordings. The site is a pleasant affair, detailing upcoming exhibitions and workshops for both local and international artists. There is adequate information on these items, with plenty of pictures to give a taste of what is to come. Overall, the website is well suited to its purpose of simply, yet attractively, alerting people to the important work the centre does for Scottish heritage. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [KB/GAS, 20 Jun 2006].
