Forum Rules

These rules are intended to ensure that the Sapling Forums remain a relevant and useful service for the architecture, planning and landscape communities. By using the Forums you agree to adide by the rules as set out below.
General rules applicable to all Forums
- Postings in all Sapling Forums must be related to Sapling's themes (architecture, construction, culture, heritage, housing, interior design, landscape, planning, regeneration, sustainability, transport, urban design or other information resources), and in accordance with the topic of the specific Forum in which they are posted (i.e. Discussion, Jobs, Products and Services, or Save Newcastle's Paramount Theatre). Any other postings will be removed.
- Postings added to an existing message thread must be 'on topic'. If your posting does not relate to an existing thread, please start a new one. Message titles should be chosen to accurately describe the content/topic of the posting.
- You must not use the Sapling Forums to post any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, obscene, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. Do not post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you. Copying entire articles into a message should be avoided, and such messages may be removed from the Forums without further notice.
- The Sapling Forums should be used for healthy discussion, not derision. Posters who habitually resort to the use of obscene or threatening language may find themselves banned from participating in any or all of the Forums. The moderator's decision on any matters involving any Forums under his control is final.
- Spam postings are not permitted in any Sapling Forum, and will be removed.
- Typing a message entirely in capital letters (i.e. 'SHOUTING') is not allowed. Messages that do so will be edited or removed.
- By posting your message, you agree to indemnify the owners, employees, agents and representatives of the Sapling.info website and to hold them harmless from any and all claims and liabilities (including legal fees) resulting from any material posted to the Sapling Forums, or from any acts resulting from participants' use of these Forums.
- Sapling.info reserves the right to remove or edit any messages posted, and to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
- Finally, it goes without saying that Forum postings are the opinion of the posting author alone, and should not be taken as the opinion of Sapling.info or any of our sponsors.
