The Art & Architecture Journal (AJ&J) describes itself as "the UK's lead professional information and reference resource for contemporary art in the public context, urbanism and architecture". The AJ&J was founded in 1980 and relaunched as an independent magazine in February 2005 with funding support from Arts Council England to represent what it calls "the energy of national public art professionals - artists - architects - opinion makers in the fields of public art - urbanism - architecture". Meanwhile, the journal has a campaigning ethos as a catalyst to enable the continuing development of successful high quality public art commissions, projects and collaboration. The site is neatly organised, with contents lists for current and previous issues (though not the articles themselves), subscription information, an events calendar, and an excellent page of links.
