North West Film Archive

The North West Film Archive describes itself as "the professionally recognised public home for the moving image heritage of the North West of England", and is part of the Library Service of the Manchester Metropolitan University. The site offers background about the collection, and useful links to related film, heritage and archival sources. The highlight is the online catalogue, where visitors can access thousands of film and video records online via a searchable database - apparently the first regional public film collection in the UK to make this facility available.
