About the HRG

Awarded our Site of the Month accolade in September 2001, Sapling.info has always considered the Housing Resource Guide to be one of the best sites of its kind. We are therefore very pleased that the HRG will now continue to be developed as part of Sapling.info, building on Matthew and Ron's sterling work over the last ten years.

At the same time, we are looking forward to welcoming users of the HRG, who will now be able to benefit from Sapling.info's additional coverage of housing-related books, news and events.

What's happening

Over the coming months, the 250+ Housing Resource Guide entries will be checked, rated and reviewed before being transferred to Sapling.info's database. The addition of these new entries will greatly enhance Sapling.info's coverage of housing-related sites, and will increase the total number of Sapling.info reviews by over 20% to more than 1,100. It will also allow the HRG content to be brought right up to date through the removal or correction of any broken links.

Progress update, 3 December 2006:
Of the 284 HRG entries that Sapling.info inherited, 78 (many with changed URLs) have so far been updated and incorporated into Sapling.info. After the removal of 18 duplicate entries (sites featured in the HRG that were already listed in Sapling.info) and 29 sites that no longer exist, this leaves a further 159 HRG entries awaiting review.
