Athelas Plants is a large garden centre and nursery located near Hastings. It stocks a massive range of exotic and tropical plants, particularly those suited to dry and arid climates, and structural shaped plants used in landscaping gardens. The elegantly designed Athelas site contains a shop section with a large range of species available to buy online, as well as an information section with lots of useful growing and landscaping tips, a short bibliography and a collection of related links. Elsewhere, a growing 'Plant Library' section features advice on how to look after plants such as bottlebrushes, grasses, bamboo and olive trees. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 23 Mar 2009].
