Very few of us disagree that the building is an eyesore at the moment. We need to look beyond this and realise that the past, the complete restoration of this building, holds the key to the historical, artistic and even commercial future of the site. There is still enough of its beauty left to enable restoration and it would be little short of commercial vandalism to destroy what little we have left. It is so frustrating to watch this gem slip away before our very eyes.
