My, my. Folks such as Mr. Jon McFall think they know what makes a city vital and attractive. I'd like to know more about their credentials. It's just possible they have a knowledge of Retail Sales Market Share, or perhaps Heritage Tourism, maybe City Planning, a passing knowledge of Architectural Economics or Business District Revitalization, possibly Renovation cost per square foot and speed of Renovation versus new construction costs and speed of new construction, and so on and so on? I seriously doubt this.
People who believe that buildings such as the Paramount are ugly or expendable should consider moving to one of many monstrously ugly or boring cities here in the U.S. of A. Come one, come all. We’ve created them exclusively for you. No need to destroy your own communities, we’ve already done it for you.
