I only have my own 'memories' to report on, I'm afraid.
One memory is of when the Queens closed down for the best part of a year (1964, I think) to be one of the few cinemas in the UK converted to "Cinerama".
The last film played before closure (and I was there on the last night) was 'Red River' starring John Wayne and Montgomery Clift. A genuine classic western.
I remember when it re-opened as "The Queens Cinerama" - you virtually needed to take a friend with you, just to tell you what was happening at the other end of the screen!!
I used to find the two fuzzy lines in between the three cameras, pretty annoying though.
