Hello, I would like to build a "granny cottage" on top of an existing car port. Dims are 5x8 meters. Is it possible to build AAC (YTONG) walls on a rigid wooden frame instead of the typical cement foundation?
I was thinking of shuttering and pouring a 15x15 cm rebar re-enforced concrete frame on top of the existing wooden frame and the build the ytong blocks on top.
Is there a deflection test that I may perform and acceptable limits for this?
regards,
ncholas
