Rural Regeneration Cumbria (RRC) is the first semi-rural Urabn Regeneration Company (URC) in the UK, "working to rebuild and develop a dynamic rural economy in Cumbria". According to the site, "the North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and Cumbria County Council created RRC in response to structural weaknesses in the rural economy highlighted by the foot and mouth crisis in 2001. RRC's objectives include attracting and developing new industries as well as supporting agriculture and tourism, where Cumbria has traditionally been strong". The site is attractively designed and rich in content, with sections covering strategy and publications, the RRC team, partners and links, funding, a list of projects, tenders, and news, events and jobs, while a useful 'download centre' brings together all the documents that are available for download on the site. Sunderland ARC

One of a number of Urban Regeneration Companies (URCs) set up across England, Sunderland ARC was established in May 2002 "to fulfil the aspirations of the Government's Urban Task Force and subsequent Acts of Parliament to promote an urban renaissance". Slickly presented, the ARC's site includes up to date news, information and documents relating to the company, detailed illustrated profiles of all the key development sites, and a useful list of links relating to Sunderland and regeneration.
