The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is an individual membership technical society whose core purpose is "to improve the process of creating and sustaining the built environment". The Institute provides technical information and products, continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows to enhance communication among all disciplines of non-residential building design and construction and to meet what it describes as "the industry's need for a common system of organising and presenting construction information".  Paramount Theatre, Abilene, Texas

Designed by H.O.Wooten, the Abilene Paramount was built just one year before the threatened Newcastle Paramount, in 1930. Since its restoration in 1986, the Paramount continues to screen movies, as well as hosting live performances - according to the website, "the Paramount has proven to be the perfect home for a wide array of events". The site is quite attractively designed, with the use of images and backgrounds capturing the building's Art Deco grandeur. As well as information about the theatre's performances and facilities, features include a history of the building and a virtual tour. [GAS, 16 Aug 2005].
