Square One describes itself as a "complete environmental design resource for architects, designers and educational institutions, in order to encourage the energy efficient design of buildings". Compiled by academics from the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University, the site normally provides pages of excellent material relating to efficient design, lighting design and acoustic design, as well as a section of downloadable software tools; however, the site is currently unavailable pending a revamp that is due for completion in June 2006.
