The Future Cities Project
 http://www.futurecities.org.uk/

The Future Cities Project has been set up "to critically explore issues around the city... From the urban renaissance to the urban village; from sustainable development to under-development; from density to sprawl; from greenfield to green politics, the Future Cities Project seeks to explore why the terms of the debate - especially around cities - have become so fraught". The site is quite small, but is neatly designed (if rather text heavy), with sections covering publications, essays, book reviews, links to articles, and a reasonably up-to-date list of events. A transcripts section, with full speeches from previous Project conferences, is a particularly useful and innovative feature. [GAS, 21 Aug 2005].

S.A.T Project - 3D Transportation System
 http://www.satproject.com.ar/

S.A.T. is "the first three-dimensional displacement transportation system that displaces through space (in horizontal, vertical and on a gradient) without height limits and sound or environmental pollution, duplicating or triplicating megacities speed". This interesting site provides background information, details of the concept and system, a technical overview, and a multimedia section with images and videos. The site is neat and easy to navigate, though its Flash design - with text embedded as images - limits accessibility. [GAS, 22 Nov 2005].
